Все из-за иска со стороны «Газпромбанка», который потребовал взыскать с ООО «Майкрософт Рус» денежные средства за неисполнение контракта на техническую поддержку, заключенного в сентябре 2021 года и действовавшего до 12 сентября 2022 года. Суд присудил в пользу банка сумму, эквивалентную 887 тыс. долларов, а также 62 тыс. долларов процентов.
Юридическое лицо корпорации Microsoft в России подало заявление о банкротстве. Запись об этом появилась в государственном реестре.
