Критики встретили проект весьма прохладно. На момент написания новости средний балл от журналистов на Metacritic составляет всего 60%. Пользователи Steam же детище Drop Bear Bytes и вовсе разгромили — Broken Roads стартовала на платформе с 37% положительных отзывов. Сейчас этот показатель дорос до 42%.

Однако, если внимательнее изучить отзывы русских игроков в Steam, то можно увидеть, что жалобы идут в том числе на посредственное техническое исполнение игры, ее тривиальный сюжет, нераскрытых персонажей, отвратительный машинный перевод, слабое влияние того самого морального компаса, на который разработчики делали большой упор в рекламных материалах, а также скучную боевую систему.
12 апреля Drop Bear Bytes выпустили хотфикс с исправлением различных ошибок и обещанием всерьез заняться улучшением игры.

У обеих игр не трогали сетевой код, который и в 2000-е работал не очень хорошо. Aspyr почему-то не озаботилась не только его обновлением, но и нормальной сетевой инфраструктурой, из-за чего игроки либо не могут играть вообще, либо играют с огромными задержками.
Вчера состоялся релиз Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, обернувшийся для разработчиков неожиданной катастрофой.
За 12 часов у сборника набралось 5 тысяч отзывов, из которых всего 19% оказались положительными. Обе классические игры не получили практически никаких улучшений по графике, а перерисованный интерфейс смотрится на фоне старых ассетов очень странно.
Но проблема, конечно, не в мелочах. У обеих игр не трогали сетевой код, который и в 2000-е работал не очень хорошо. Aspyr почему-то не озаботилась не только его обновлением, но и нормальной сетевой инфраструктурой, из-за чего игроки либо не могут играть вообще, либо играют с огромными задержками.
Разработчики уже пообещали все исправить.
