Независимая студия Black Cloud, основанная выходцем из бывшего СССР Ричардом Никсоном, анонсировала ролевую игру After Reset, события которой развернутся в мире будущего, разрушенного ядерной войной.

Скриншоты и фабула, прямо скажем, сильно напоминают классические игры серии Fallout, и разработчики не скрывают, что ориентируются на бессмертные творения Black Isle. Цитируем: «Однако стиль и атмосфера заметно отличаются: Fallout — это ироничный ретро-футуризм, будущее, каким его видели в 1950-х, а After Reset — серьезная современная фантастика. Все, что вы увидите в игре, основано на сегодняшних научных представлениях».

Действие After Reset развернется на территории Соединенных Штатов Америки, а размер игрового мира будет примерно равен Fallout и Fallout 2 вместе взятым. При этом он будет по-настоящему живым, непредсказуемо реагируя на ваши действия.

Технически игра будет основана на технологии Unity, которая позволит разработчикам реализовать задуманное: изометрический вид, лаконичный интерфейс и ролевую систему в духе S.P.E.C.I.A.L. и Dungeons & Dragons v3.5.

After Reset планируется к выходу для PC, Linux и Mac в 2015 году. Финансы для разработки планируется привлечь с помощью Kickstarter — кампания по сбору средств пройдет уже до конца этого года.

Ну, 94 тыс - копейки. А они вообще требовали 30. Не понятно, что на них можно сделать.

In addition, I was able to get in touch with the Voice-Casting Director for After Reset, Michael Salyer, who confirmed Nixon took the money and ran. He told me the following:

"yeah he kept the money and fucking ran with no notice waited until we made enough of a game then dashed leaving us with no funds to complete the Dec something I had a huge passion for."

So that is the situation, Nixon made just enough of a game to make it look like it was a real project, just like he's done with all of his Kickstarter projects, including the one he started after he ran off with all the money from this one.

Make sure to report him to Kickstarter, report the game on Steam and blow up the After Reset social media to make sure no one purchases this scam game. Instructions below. 

To report Nixon and Black Cloud to Kickstarter, open the Campaign tab, scroll to the bottom and select "Report this project to Kickstarter". Let's make sure they're never able to use this platform to take people's money again.

People should also be reporting the game on Steam. If you don't know how to report the game, go to the Store Page for it, on the right hand side there are the options to 'Share' and 'Embed', right next to that is a flag. Select the flag, report the game and explain to Steam what's going on. This walking piece of human garbage doesn't deserve to successfully steal another dime from people. 

You should also be reporting Nixon and Black Cloud Studios directly to Steam (via the same method) for censoring posts critical of the game. It's against Steam's Terms of Service and just another way Nixon is keeping his con going.
