Нашел проблему — не напасть на город гоблинов и черный монолит.. написал в поддержку игры и получил ответ:
Hi Nikita,
I loaded up the save and save and saw that you are using some kind of language mod. We officially do not support mods as we do not know how they affect the game and they can cause all kinds of trouble. The problem might be connected to the mod in some way.
Please try to uninstall the mod and see if that helps.

З.Ы. перевод ставил на версию 1.2.0.25 и он работает в рамках приличного))
